Really nice show. I downloaded the Flac files one at a time. Disc 1 is DAO disc at once. Disc 2 is TAO track at once. I have burned Disc 2 two times and both have come out TAO. Any thoughts and just an FYI.

Just confirming what everyone else is claiming with this gig. Pristine sound, good fun, brilliant musicianship; nice mix of material. All the more impressive is that the whole thing is ad libbed. Amazing. Geoff Achison is as good as any guitarist in the world.

Subject: COME ONE COME ALL!!!!!!
It is a piece of musical history such as this one that makes me proud to be an Australian and to have had the opportunity to see Geoff Live.
This union of two of the most powerful and emotional instrumentalists and vocalists from separate corners of globe speaks to the hearts of all listners.
Please do yourself a favour and bathe in an hour of sweet, sexy, soul filled acoustica then follow it up with another hour of toe tapping, modern blues when the two are joined by the ever devious Donna Hopkins Band.
This recording has it all. Vocal and instrumental harmonies to make you cry, face melting, guitar shredding solos and organs, bass and drums to back em up.
DO NOT INGORE THIS WARNING!!!!!
Grab these discs and play them to all of your friends and smile, smile heaps!!!!!
PS: 5 stars is so far below the rating I would love to give to these guys. But if I have to, on a scale of zero to 5 I give it 28.5!!!!!!
PPS: Big Ups for the sounds guys. It sounds like youve got front center. Quick, throw Geoff your undies!!!!!!

Well-polished performances by professional contemporary blues players. Ms. Hopkins' cover of "Angel From Montgomery" is particularly nice, as are the electric guitar solos on Disk 2. A must for blues fans.

(by Ron Currens)
I had high expections regarding this meeting of blue guitarists and I was blown away as they were exceeded. Geoff Achison is a star in his native Australia and recognized as one of the best blues guitarists of his generation. Seeing Donna and Geoff together was remarkable.
They proceeded to swap songs back and forth as each learned to play the others' tunes. As the two got comfortable with each other I was thrilled to see Donna hitting her zone with some killer acoustic solos in Geoff's songs.
Then came the band for a kick butt electric set. Outstanding versions of Jungle, Thundering in the Thickets and Walking Blues were aced by the band and the two guitarists tonight. The playing was outstanding and raised the bar on what I'll expect in the future.

Not quite my cup of tea musically, but well worth the download nonetheless. Kinda folksy-bluesy stuff mixed with a raspy, Melissa Etheridge-sounding vocalist (Donna Hopkins). Absolutely pristine sound quality and heartfelt performance make it a keeper, though. Thanks for the recommendation!

I downloaded this on a whim... it was featured so I said what the hey. I must say, very impressive! First of all, I'm a stickler for sound quality... this is probably one of the best sounding shows I've downloaded on this site. The guitar work is EXCELLENT! Geoff is increadibly talented, and While Donna's voice is great, it's not my style. definetly worth a download!

This is a perfect example of REAL, LIVE music - but it's not a Souldiggers show. The first disc is Geoff and Donna Hopkins trading off on acoustic guitars with some duets. The second is Geoff and Donna plugged in, with Donna's band backing up. This show is even more impressive because they'd never played together before - it's a true jam, and they come together quite nicely (the stage dialog will explain it all). Thanks to Jim (Eddie's Attic sound engineer) for the sweet SB tape, Tom Horton for the transfer, and The Archive for hosting this little slice of magic in time. HIghly recommended .
